I’ve worked with Graham in several contexts. He recently delivered bystander training for staff which was been excellent. The two-day training course was really engaging – thoughtfully prepared, well structured and stimulating for all participants. Graham was able to create lots of discussion and the opportunity for staff to reflect on their own experiences as well as learn new skills. Graham creates a supportive atmosphere and all the staff who attended the course felt confident in being able to transfer learning back at school.
In addition, I have worked alongside Graham when he has launched the MVP programme to pupils. He is very skilled at speaking to large groups of pupils and keeping their attention! These sessions have been effective in sharing the values of the MVP programme and inspiring pupils to sign up to become mentors.
Graham has supported us really effectively during our first year of delivering the MVP programme. He’s kept in regular contact, answered questions, promoted our work and helped us identify ways to take the programme forward for the future. It has been a pleasure to work with him and develop MVP into a meaningful and effective part of George Heriot’s School.
